Bringing Stanford-backed brain science into the classroom.
How research-backed relationships shape early learning at Brella.
At Brella, we believe the quality of early education is defined by the quality of the relationships between educators and children.
Thoughtfully designed classrooms, intentional curriculum, and experienced teachers all play an important role. But it is through consistent, responsive interactions with trusted adults that children build confidence, emotional security, and a sense of themselves as capable learners.
These moments happen throughout the day. A teacher noticing a child’s interest and helping them explore it further. Offering reassurance when something feels unfamiliar. Giving a child the space to try, and the support to succeed. Over time, these interactions shape how children approach learning and relationships far beyond the classroom.
Developmental research has increasingly confirmed what great educators have always understood: relationships are central to how young children grow and learn.
When we learned about FIND (Filming Interactions to Nurture Development), developed at the Stanford Center on Early Childhood, it felt deeply aligned with our approach. FIND gives educators research-backed tools to recognize and strengthen the everyday interactions that support cognitive development, communication, and emotional well-being.
This partnership reflects our commitment to investing meaningfully in our teachers and ensuring every child benefits from intentional, relationship-centered care, whether they attend full-time or more occasionally.
This work continues to shape how we design our classrooms and support children at Brella, grounded in the belief that strong relationships are the foundation for everything that follows.
